Goliath Casket caters to the obese

An Indiana casket maker is cashing in on the obesity epidemic here in the U.S.

Goliath Casket is the only manufacturer in the country that builds 52-inch caskets -- that's the largest size available.

Owner Keith Davis started the business 25 years ago and says the demand continues to grow 10-20 percent every year. The largest one can hold more than 1,000 lbs.

"That is huge," said Keith Davis, owner of Goliath Casket. "You're talking about something that's going to have to be moved with some kind of machinery."

The company's largest casket is seven ft. long and seven ft. wide. It was built in 2005 for a man who passed away in Alaska.

Five people weld metal and sew fabric to produce about 16 caskets a month.
