Jeffersonville, Ind. (WDRB-TV Fox 41) -- The final bell has rung on the first day back for students in Greater Clark County Schools. About 11,000 children headed back to school in Greater Clark County Thursday morning.
The school district is the 19th largest school corporation in the state of Indiana, and it's growing. Superintendent Dr. Stephen Daeschner tells Fox 41 News, "Charlestown High School is brand new. We also have Jeffersonville High School, that we basically made major renovations, over $45 million of renovations. And that's up and running and ready to go...and probably the best track in the area, and so several renovations, and those are beautiful schools."
