LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- Louisville has been named one of the Nation's 100 Best Communities for Young People. The designation, by America's Promise Alliance is for communities that make youth a priority by implementing problems that keep kids in school and prepare them for college and the 21st century workforce.
One of the city's efforts that was recognized is the Greater Louisville Education Commitment-- the goal is to drop the region's dropout rate in half by 2018 and to identify post-secondary education and career opportunities for area youth.
