Proposition Eight protests spread east

Protests against controversial Proposition Eight have spread east.  About 100 people in Louisville protested against the hotly debated issue.

Voters passed Proposition Eight back on November 4, preventing same-sex couples from getting married in California.  Protests against Prop 8 have since been held all over the country.

"It's hard to imagine such regressive ideals can still exist that are put into effect with that proposition.  So across America in every major city we are fighting for that," said Jarrett Horvath, protester.

More than 250,000 people nationwide have pledged to protest Prop 8. Currently, Massachusetts and Connecticut are the only states that perform same sex marriages.
