The route for the annual Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run has changed to keep it safe and to keep traffic moving.
Several police departments, including St. Matthews, Shively, and Jeffersontown Police, are donating resources and manpower for the event. This is the 27th year for the event, which has collected hundreds of thousands of toys over the years.
They're confident that they'll have a good response this year, as Fred Myers of the Kentucky Motorcycle Association explains: "I personally haven't seen a decline yet, but last year because of the weather we had a mediocre crowd, but we still ended up with about two thousand toys."
This year's Motorcycle Run route starts at Logistics Drive off Green Belt Highway and ends at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. If you want to contribute toys, you can go to Papa John's Cardinal Stadium between two and three on Sunday, November 29th.
