For Tiffany Jefferies and John Gallai it was the best Valentine's Day ever. They didn't need a church or a chapel. They said "I do" at the White Castle restaurant on East Market Street in Louisville. With a crowd of 100 family members and friends, Jefferson Circuit Judge Joan Byer performed the ceremony.
"It was an awesome experience. How many people can say they got married at a White Castle on Valentine's Day?" said Tiffany Gallai, bride.
Thanks to 99.7 WDJX radio in Louisville, the newlyweds got an all expense paid wedding, honeymoon trip to Los Angeles, white gold wedding set, flowers and pictures. Getting married at the White Castle was a unique way to do it. After the brief ceremony, the wedding party dined on White Castle burgers, fries and onion rings served on silver platters.
"I've been to a couple of weddings, not too many, but I've never been a part of anything like this," said John Gallai, groom.
This is the second year the radio station has sponsored a Valentine's Day wedding. Personality Kelly K says the first couple is still happily married.
