Tattoo Charlie's closes 7th & Berry location

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- It is the end of an era for the world famous Tattoo Charlie's at its Seventh and Berry Boulevard location. After 33-years on Berry, they're closing their doors. All of the artists will be moving to the Preston Highway location for your tattoo and body piercing pleasure.

"Guess with now with people and their money, things are pretty tight right now, we just thought it would be better to put the two shops together, and make it one. We've got more hours from 10 o'clock in the morning until 12 o'clock at night," said Eric Barmore, 13 year employee.

Tattoo Charlie's was founded by Charlie Wheeler in 1973. He's known for his innovations and safety standards in the tattoo and piercing business.
