Jennifer Hudson returns

Jennifer Hudson went back to where it all began, taking the American Idol stage as season eight goes down to the wire.  After taking home an Oscar and a Grammy, Hudson says things look a whole lot different to her now.

"This is so bizarre to me," she says, "because the last time I was here I was being eliminated. What, four or five years, so it's so strange. And other than that, (during) Dreamgirls, we came here to shoot a couple of scenes. So since I've been eliminated, so it's very weird."

Hudson also says, "I thought this stage would've made me nervous, but I didn't get nervous...but the stage is like home now, that's what it's like for me, so even if I am nervous, I come out on the stage, like, once I get out there I'm like OK, I'm used to this."

Plus it helps that she gets to perform her own material: "In a way, it gives you more freedom to put yourself into it and create your own artist.  And I want people to be singing Jennifer Hudson songs like I've been singing Aretha songs or Whitney songs or Mariah songs, so that gives you that opportunity to leave that mark."

She continues, "I don't want to take the moments for granted, you know, like an achievement for granted, so I have to take a moment...I have a Grammy for this album, you know, and so these songs are basically Grammy-winning songs."
