Social Security recipients are being told to be on the lookout for potential scams.  Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway says con artists may be trying to swipe the identities of people getting a one-time $250 federal stimulus payment.

The state's Family Services Secretary says the payments to Social Security and other disability recipients should be going out by late May.  They warn people should not have to give out additional personal information to get the checks.

Anyone who's gotten calls asking about detailed information is asked to call the Attorney General's Office at 888-432-9257.
