An Iraq war veteran has pleaded guilty to murdering a Louisville woman.  Jeremy Shields entered the plea in exchange for a life sentence.

34-year-old Wendy Sue Logsdon, a mother of three, went missing in January 2008 when she was supposed to meet Shields at a bar in Louisville.

The two worked together at the Zappos distribution center in Shepherdsville.  Logsdon's half-burned body was found two days later in rural Hart County.

Shields pleaded guilty to murder, rape, and tampering with physical evidence.  He could be eligible for parole after serving 20 years.
