And now there are four -- Matt Giraud heads home

It's down to four as the contestant who made American Idol history is heading home.  Matt Giraud got the lowest number of votes this week.

For the first time, the judges' favorite, Adam Lambert, landed himself in the bottom two.

Matt made Idol history when he was saved a few weeks ago by the judges -- a new power that lets them decide just one time to save a contestant fans voted out.

He says he'll be remembered as the hopeful who has nine lives.  "I went out on a good note.  I got called brilliant by Simon and he even compared me to Nat King Cole, which meant a lot to me, because he is an idol of mine."

Next week the Idol hopefuls will take on rock and roll.
