Police bust Shively meth lab

Police in Shively wrapped up a lengthy investigation with a meth bust and three arrests.

Officers raided a house on Garrs Lane Monday evening and found all the tools to make the drug, and a batch of meth cooked just hours before cops showed up.

The home owner, another man and woman whose job cops say was to buy the ingredients to make meth, were all arrested.

Police say no children were involved and no one was injured.

Investigators say meth labs are back on the rise after a brief decline following state laws restricting access to certain ingredients used to make meth.

Meth labs increased nearly 35 percent last year.

Police think multiple buyers are visiting several stores for cold and allergy pills so that dealers can make the drug.
