E-mail reaction to Pitino/Sypher coverage

WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS?  IF HE WAS ANY OTHER PERSON HE WOULD BE IN JAIL.  UNFORTUNATELY IF ACCUSED OF THIS TYPE OF CRIME YOU ARE GUILT UNTIL YOU PROVE YOU ARE NOT.  ANY HIGH PROFILE PERSON WOULD UNDERGO THIS SAME TYPE OF MEDIA.  HE DID LIE INITIALLY WHEN HE DENIED HAVING CONTACT WITH HER.  WHAT MAN HAS SEX IN A RESTURANT AND WITH HIS EQUIPMENT MANGERS WIFE.  FOR HIM TO BE GIVEN TIME TO COME ON TV AND TELL EVERYONE NOT TO WATCH THE NEWS IS PUTTING OUT AN AURORA THAT HE IS A MAFIA OR DICTATOR.  HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED AT LEAST UNTIL THIS WAS PUT TO REST.  WHAT A WINNER HE IS.  ANYONE THAT SUPPORTS A MAN THAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE A MENTOR FOR YOU MEN AND CHILDREN SHOULD HAVE A HIGH MORAL STANDARD.  HOW MANY THINK THIS IS THE FIRST TIME?  WHAT MAKES HIM THINK HE IS ANY BETTER THAN ANY OTHER HIGH  PROFILE PUBLIC FIGURE?  ARE THE MORALS OF L-VILLE  SO LOW THEY PERMIT THIS BEHAVIOR.  YES HE IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY BUT BY HIS PEERS HE HAS TO NOT PUT HIMSELF IN THESE POSITIONS

I think he should step down.If he would cheat and lie to his family and get mad now that he got caught. He would do anything to better himself even at the cost of his players.it should stay in the news till its over and that is never it is a ten commandment so is lieing and he done them both.

I am really sick of hearing about all this.  I think it is time to let it go until the trial.  Every time the subject comes on we either mute the TV or change the channel.  I love watching your program in the morning before work.  You give me a great start to my day, but let's drop this subject for awhile.  I agree with the gentleman that said he was tired of hearing her VOICE.  Thank you.

I have been watching your broadcast this morning, just as every morning, since about 6:30am. I haven't counted exactly but know I have seen the bit about Pitino covered at leat 5 times while watching.....and that's being back and forth to the TV getting kids ready for school. I think that is extremely excessive, quite frankly at this point it's becoming annoying.....a sigh of ugh everytime it comes on AGAIN. I love your show but you all have run this story in the ground - I completely agree with Pitino....there is a trial where all will be decided, let us know what happens with the trial. I've seen many murder cases not get this extensive coverage which honestly is disturbing to me. It would be awesome to see Fox 41 set an example and back off of this, give the family some peace....imagine how they must feel. Update us on progress but it doesn't need to be on every 15 minutes. Just my 2 cents worth.

Coach Pitino should any known that his case was going to get a lot of attention. He's a local celebirty and one of college basketballs greatest coaches. Media dose this anytime a celeb is involved in the legal syetem. I'm not saying that it's right. I think that every one, noe matter who you are, derservs their privicy, but he knew this was going to happen.  This is sadly the norm. He see what the media is doing with the death of Micheal Jackson.   If Karen Sypher is the only one talking to the media then that what is going to be reported. He knew that the extortion case involed alligations of rape. If didn't want he wife being upset, then he shouldn't had sex with asnother woman to being with. The only people I feel sorry for are his wife and children.

I think that people need to leave Rick Pitino alone.  It is not illegal to have an affair and many people are acting like it is.  Many people don't know or should know that this is the 3rd time this woman has tried to receive money from different men.  The first 2 times the men actually gave her money, this time she pressed her luck by trying to extort Pitino for $10 million.  She is such a classy character.  I feel sorry for her children.  Pitino's family is going through a hard enough time right now and the media should respect that and let it be.

I've got to side with Rick on this one.  Sex sells and the media just can't rise above the almighty dollar. I think 99% of TV is trash. There are only 12 people who need to hear this story in the detail we have.  In my opinion, Karen is doing this for money and recognition.  It's sad for all parties involved, but mostly for Rick's family.  His marriage is blessed by God.  The university needs to fire him or shut up.  If I had to make that decision for them, I'd shut up.

Morning... I watch you'all every morning from around 5 am till 9 am, and I personally think "Let a sleeping dog...." Let the courts decide .... this issue is old news... the media beating a dead horse to death.....

Mr. Pitino needs to take a step back.  Fox 41 is providing thorough coverage of an issue that certainly should be brought to the attention of the public.  Mr. Pitino is a public figure and along with that comes the obligation, whethe the believes it or not, to behave properly and represent well the distinctive institution he represents, The University of Louisville, and most importantly his very own family.  Fox 41 has every right to deliver fact, ALL OF THEM, and as professionals should not hide the truth for the sake of "sports politics."  Mr. Pitino needs to divert the energy used to lash out at the media more productively.  Being a coach in a "basketball state" does not make the terrible thing he did any less wrong!

I think my favorite news channel 41 is running Rick's story into the ground. If I was in the same position and the police found out a women was trying to take me for a ride there wouldn't be any coverage at all. Give the man a break. It's over. Let it go.
