Two U of L basketball players face new charges

Two U of L basketball players arrested over the weekend now face new charges.  Fox 41 has obtained the police report which shows one of them was so combative, he had to be tasered twice.

The report details what happened Saturday night, when Jerry Smith and Terrence Jennings were arrested for resisting law enforcement.  Now they're also charged with battery and disorderly conduct.

According to the report, officers tried to stop a fight inside Kye's in Jeffersonville and saw Jennings shoving several people.  When they tried to calm him down, he struggled, so an officer used his taser.  But Jennings continued to fight until he was tasered again.

Jerry Smith got involved while police were waiting to take Jennings to jail.  He kept asking officers what he could do to help.  The report says they warned him to leave and arrested him when he pushed an officer.
