Louisville Leadership's Connector Project Deserves Support (10/29/09)
As I said in a recent Point of View, no community remains vital just by embracing the status quo. Adaptability to change and a will to grow are critical. That's why I'm encouraged by Leadership Louisville's Connector Project.
Leadership Louisville is attempting to compile a listing of people who - through their connections - exemplify trusted leadership to create positive change in our community. Anyone may submit a nomination, and so far, over 3,600 names have been received for consideration.
But they still need your help. In order to properly identify and recognize as many unsung leaders as possible, they need everyone's input. So if you know of someone who should be considered, go to LouisvilleConnectors.com, click on "make a nomination" and answer a few survey questions with the names of people you know that are true local leaders.
And don't assume only one type of person can qualify. Leadership Louisville is attempting to cross all economic and social boundaries with this project, and people from all walks of life will be recognized in the final results.
But you don't have a lot of time. Saturday is the last day you can submit a nomination. So I encourage you to log on and be a part of not just recognizing today's true leaders but also mobilizing the leaders of tomorrow.I'm Bill Lamb, and that's my...Point of View
