Saving energy in your home

Posted:

Insulating your home can save energy and save you money.  The Home Depot's Scott Krueger and Joe Autry show how to use blown insulation to fill in the gaps any home.  They also say cellulose insulation is considered a "green" product - more ecologically sound than competing products. It's also highly effective and less costly than fiberglass.

Blown Insulation Installation:

Reduce heating and cooling costs by up to 20% and qualify for the Energy Tax Credit of up to $1,500 with professionally installed blown-in fiberglass insulation.†

Installed ENERGY STAR qualified Radiant Barrier and attic insulation can reduce energy costs and improve year-round comfort in your home.

Purchase insulation from 1/1/09 through 12/31/10 and you may be eligible to receive a federal tax credit under the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009". Visit www.homedepot.com/taxcredit  and consult your tax advisor for more information.
