Have you had enough of record high unemployment, the ongoing lack of reasonable jobs or the promise that public services will be dramatically cut due to lack of an adequate state budget?
If so, look at Ohio's solution. Their recent decision to approve casino gambling made them the 37th state to do so, and is projected to generate 40,000 new jobs and $400 million in new revenue.
Let me repeat – 40,000 new jobs and $400 million in new revenue.
We desperately need a new industry that employs large numbers of people and creates
large revenue. We already have most forms of gambling in place, so it's time to take the psycho-babble out of the argument about casinos representing expanded gambling. We already have expanded gambling as recently as a couple of months ago with the addition of another weekly lottery.
Our elected officials have had years to come up with alternatives and they have failed to do so. The most immediate solution is casino gambling and this is our opportunity, as voters, to fix a huge problem our elected officials refuse to deal with.
It's past time to allow politicians of any party to remain more concerned with getting
elected or re-elected than the financial well-being of the voters who put them there.
If you agree, ask your state representatives if they support casino gambling. If they don't,
deny them your vote and tell them you are doing so.
Let's make this the November to remember.
