Conway keeps quiet on Obama invitation

The Democrat running for Senate in Kentucky is keeping quiet about whether he'll invite President Barack Obama to Kentucky to campaign for him.  State Attorney General Jack Conway said Obama has "a lot on his plate right now" when asked if he would invite the president to get involved in the race.

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul and GOP leaders have tried to focus the Kentucky race on Obama. Polls show the president is unpopular among Bluegrass State voters.

Conway told reporters Wednesday that he would welcome Obama to Kentucky "if he wants to come." But he ducked questions about whether he would invite Obama to the state.
