2 injured when small plane crashes in Ky.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Two men were injured when a small plane crashed while trying to land at a central Kentucky airport.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department says 69-year-old Dale Willis of Campbellsville lost control of the Cessna Model 170 airplane just after 9 p.m. EST Saturday.

Officials say the plane overturned as Willis tried to land. Willis was taken to the University of Louisville hospital for head injuries. His passenger, 52-year-old Barry Smith of Campbellsville, was treated at Taylor Regional Hospital for arm and leg injuries. Willis' condition was not immediately available Sunday.

The crash was under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
