Evansville Whirlpool plant shutting down

A southern Indiana Whirlpool plant is making its last refrigerators.  The plant's production line in Evansville, Indiana is shutting down Friday.  That means some six hundred people are losing their jobs.

About 450 other workers were laid off in March when Whirlpool ended its second shift production.  Whirlpool decided to close the plant and move production and the jobs to Mexico.

Crews will start removing equipment and furniture from the plant.  The future of the site has not been decided.
