LOUISVILLE, KY (WDRB Fox 41) -- After sitting empty for more than three years, there's something new being served up on the old Bahama Breeze site -- Chuy's is now open.
The popular Texas-based restaurant company specializes in Tex-Mex food. Everything is made fresh every day, from the handmade tortillas to the sauces.
Diners will also notice the unique decor, with hubcaps on the ceiling, palm trees, and even a nacho car in the rear of a '62 Cadillac. And every Chuy's has some sort of shrine to Elvis.
The new 11,000 square foot restaurant hired 170 employees. Plans call for a second location in the Louisville area to open in Clarksville next spring.
