POLICE: Man steals IDs to get phone, Insight

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- Louisville Metro Police say a Louisville man wanted Insight Communications services in a bad way -- badly enough to commit theft for it.

23-year-old Brian Montez Lloyd was arrested yesterday morning after police say he stole the identities of eight different people to pay for a variety of services. Using these identities, Lloyd allegedly obtained Insight Communications services, telephone services, new bank accounts and lines of credit.

An arrest report obtained by Fox41.com states that Lloyd was seen on Fifth Third Bank ATM surveillance cameras trying to negotiate transactions via one of the fraudulently-created bank accounts.

Lloyd allegedly, "used the personal information of eight separate individuals knowing that he did not have their permission or consent to do so."

He is charged with eight counts of identity theft.
