LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB Fox 41) -- Louisville Mayor-elect Greg Fischer announced the plans for his inauguration on Tuesday.  He also let it be known what his first proclamation as mayor would be.

Fischer told the media and assembled guests that his inauguration would be all about binding the community together -- and would include an interfaith ceremony.

"Inauguration day - January 3rd - will be filled with activities for all ages that will bring us together as a city while celebrating our heritage, our neighborhoods and our future," he said.

The theme for inauguration day will be "One City, One Community, One family."

The day will start with a breakfast at the Kentucky International Convention Center. Fischer will be sworn in at 11 a.m. at Metro Hall. That will be followed by a parade through downtown, and the traditional inaugural ball.

Fischer says no public money will be used for the festivities.

He thanked several supporters, including former U.S. Representative Ron Mazzoli, who he said played a key role in planning the inauguration.
