Heather Leavell-Keaton heading back to Alabama
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- A woman arrested in Louisville in connection with the death of two Alabama children is on her way to Alabama, even as the children's father claims he has a mental disease and is not responsible for their deaths.
John Deblase is charged with killing 3-year-old Jonathan and 5-year-old Natalie Deblase.
He did admit that he was high on sleeping pills when he dumped his son's body in the woods in Mississippi.
The children's stepmother is accused of child abuse in their deaths and was arrested in Louisville.
Heather Leavell-Keaton left Metro Corrections early Friday morning to go to Mobile to face charges.
Investigators are still looking for the little girl's remains.
