Changes coming to Indiana alcohol ID law?

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- Changes could be coming to that Indiana law that makes everyone show an ID to buy alcohol, no matter if you're 21 or 91.

A Republican lawmaker from Oldenburg says she plans to introduce a bill in the upcoming legislative session that would soften the state law that went into effect in July. This new bill would let retailers use their best judgment when deciding if they should ask for ID.

The lawmaker says those old enough to be on Social Security shouldn't be carded for trying to buy a bottle of wine.
