LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB Fox 41) -- Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson leaves office in two weeks, but his legacy will go on with an honor at the Louisville International Airport.

Wednesday, the terminal building was officially renamed the Jerry E. Abramson Terminal.  The Regional Airport Authority voted unanimously to name the terminal after him.

The authority credits him with expanding Standiford Field and helping bring jobs and businesses to the city.

Abramson will wrap up his final term as Mayor at the end of the year.  He's running for Lieutenant Governor on the Democratic ticket with Governor Beshear.
