Business owner leaves $2.3 million to Kosair
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- A local business owner and his wife have left a $2.3 million gift to Kosair Children's Hospital.
Howard "Tommy" Thompson and his wife Peggy left the legacy to help children in the community.
Peggy volunteered at the hospital's gift shop.
Tommy was the president of the family-run Thompson-Kissel Co. in Butchertown.
The gift to Kosair Children's Hospital includes funds bequeathed by the Thompsons' daughter, Charlotte, who lost a battle with lung cancer in July.
