LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- Some local students and their families are getting some holiday help from Rachel Ray.

Students from Bullitt Lick Middle School in Bullitt county were featured on a segment on the Rachel Ray show this afternoon.

The show teamed up with Zappos.com to help those families who have been hit hard by the poor economy.

Students were given some extra holiday gifts like jackets, hats, shoes, bookbags and basketball and soccer balls.

62 percent of students at Bullitt Lick qualify for free or reduced lunches.

The segment told students stories, including one having her father's pay cut by about 30 percent this year - others are dealing with losing their homes.
