LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- Just months after it opened, we're learning a JCPenney Outlet store may close its doors.
This JCPenney Outlet opened up in the former Value City location on Preston Highway. Company officials say it's likely it will close in the next two years, although it could be sold.
It's part of JCPenney's plan to maximize long-term growth and profitability.
The company is closing five stores across the U.S.
It's also winding down its catalog business including the catalog outlets. That means 19 of those stores, including the one in Louisville, will close.
