Think how satisfying it would be if you ruled the world and could get other people to change their boorish, inconsiderate or dangerous behavior just by a wave of your hand. It's that fantasy that brings me back to a feature called "If I Ruled the World." And today it's about driving.
If I ruled the world, I would declare that if you're in the fast lane, don't drive less than the speed limit. It's called the fast lane or the passing lane for a reason. That especially goes for the big rigs that love to run parallel to each other for miles.
Your turn signal. If you turn it on and change your mind – don't. Other people are making plans based on what you've signaled.
If I ruled the world, people would understand that tailgating is nothing more than bad driving regardless of how lightning fast your reflexes happen to be. Tailgating, especially in rush hour, isn't going to get you to your destination any faster but might get you there a lot later.
And if I ruled the world I would make sure people with four-wheel drive understand that while their vehicle might be great for bounding through a snow covered field, on ice they need to be just as cautious as the rest of us.
What would you change if you ruled the world? Call us and let us know.
I'm Bill Lamb…and that's my Point of View.
