LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB Fox 41) -- Coach Rick Pitino's attorney Steve Pence weighs in on Karen Sypher's sentencing.
While the coach had no comment after today's proceedings, his attorney calls the conduct of Karen Sypher and those around her "a freak show."
Pence says Sypher's past caught up with her today.
"If anyone is keeping up with the barrage of just ridiculous and malicious motions that have been filed in the last three months--totally frivolous accusations, unfounded things that have been said by Miss Sypher and her team--I think people can understand what the coach has had to endure for the last two years, and we're glad it's come to an end," Pence said.
Pence points out that as soon as Sypher made her accusations against the coach, he contacted police and took a polygraph, which he passed.
He adds that Coach Pitino is looking forward to putting this all behind him and getting on with his career and his life.
