LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB Fox 41) -- A wrong address turns into a major drug bust in New Albany.
Police were called to a home on Elm Street for a domestic dispute, but it turned out it was the wrong house. But when officers knocked on the door, they smelled marijuana and could see several plants.
In all, police say they found 36 large marijuana plants worth $36,000 inside, all part of a growing station. New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey tells Fox 41 News it's, "very what we would call mature plants plus there's a...very elaborate growing operation structure for growing that was quite expensive, probably worth five thousand plus dollars."
Police also found packaged marijuana valued at three thousand dollars. No one was home at the house, so police are still looking for suspects. New Albany police ask anyone with information about this to call them.
