LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested two people for allegedly smoking pot -- and putting the lives of at least four children in danger.

Police say they were called to the 1200 block of Morgan Ave., near Preston Hwy., on a report of a mother who had left her children by themselves so she could use drugs down the street. Police found the mother, 29-year-old Jayme L. Enteman, in the home with 61-year-old John Willbanks -- but she didn't leave her children.

Police say there were at least four children in the home, including a 10-year-old, a 7-year-old, a 3-year-old and an 8-year-old.

Both Enteman and Willbanks were using marijuana in front of the children, according to police, and were, "extremely intoxicated with slurred speech and were unable to answer simple questions."

An arrest report describes the home as "extremely dirty" and indicates that the children were playing in front of a hot stove.

Willbanks and Enteman were arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.
