UL fans prank Cats fan for April Fools' Day

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41)--Kentucky fans have waited more than a decade to sport their Wildcat gear once more for the Final Four. But some Cardinal fans aren't letting the cats have all the fun.
Saturday is a big day for Cats fans, but keep in mind, Friday is April Fools.
Cats fans made a statement as they made their way to Houston for the big game. One family coordinated their outfits to make sure they stood out in the airports. "I got these shorts a while ago for UK football season," said one teen, who sported khaki shorts with UK logos all over, "now the Cats are in the Final Four, putting them to good use."
One couple bleeds blue, too. "I got these yesterday, I went to the bookstore and spent too much money!" said Ashley Schmitt, showing off her UK earrings.
The airport even has UK gear for sale in case you forgot yours. While UK may call themselves the greatest tradition in the history of college basketball, Senior Josh Harrellson is starting a tradition with fans. They are jean shorts--or "jorts" made popular by the Kentucky senior. "Both of us made a fresh new pair of jorts to wear to the game," said one teen, "in honor of Josh Harrelson."
While many fans proudly sport their gear even on their cars, one Cats fan is dying to get his car to the car wash. He says he has been victimized by jealous Cards fans. "It's more of a hate crime really, than April Fools'," John Evans said, tongue in cheek.
His coworkers are all Cards fans, and painted UL slogans all over his car. "I think really the 'Go Cards' and the 'Pitino' really is my favorite. That 'I love Pitino' on the side. I really enjoy that. That'll probably be the first thing that gets washed off."
"He did quite a few pranks today to pretty much all of our teachers," said the mastermind behind the prank, Lori Miller, "so I think it was well deserved."
John bleeds blue, and says his coworkers are green with envy. "It doesn't bother me. I just kind of feel sad. Just sad for the cards fans," he said jokingly.
Even Miller, the Cards fan, says she'll be happy to see the Cats win it all, especially with Bellarmine and Pikeville's national victories.
