Police: Man arrested after test drive with no end

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) -- A central Kentucky man has been charged with theft after taking a car for a test drive that police say didn't end.

Richmond Police Chief Larry Brock says 21-year-old Jimmy W. Marcum took a 1998 black Ford Mustang out for a test drive Wednesday, but didn't return. Doug Marshall, the manager of Amazing Deals on Wheels in Richmond, said he saw Marcum the next day across the street, but couldn't find out where the car, valued at $4,500, was located. Marshall said he then called the police.

Marshall told The Richmond Register that the car was found in Sand Gap. Brock said Marcum was charged with theft by unlawful taking and put in the Madison County Detention Center. He was being held there on $5,000 bond.
