POLICE: Man tries to strip at Louisville Kmart

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Attention Kmart shoppers: police say a Louisville man unexpectedly decided to remove his clothes Saturday evening at a local Kmart store.

It happened at 5:30 p.m., at the Kmart on Outer Loop, near New Cut Road.

Police say they were called twice to the store after reports that 36-year-old Trevor Smith was causing trouble and engaging in, "odd and erratic behavior." At the conclusion of the second visit, police told Smith that he was not to return to the Kmart again.

But police say he did, and they were called to the Kmart a third time. When they arrived, Smith allegedly began taking off his clothes.

Police say Smith admitted to taking Xanax earlier in the day and was, "an extreme danger to himself." He was charged with criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
