Director of the Derby City Comic Con Eric Banister will be bringing in a few vintage Halloween costumes you could see this weekend.
Derby City Comic Con, a celebration of comic book culture. In addition to comic book and collectible dealers, Derby City Comic Con will feature some of the best artists, writers and publishers in the comic book business. Special Guests currently include Louisville native Jay Leisten (Marvel Comics), Kentucky native and "The Walking Dead" artist Tony Moore, New York Times best-selling author Marjorie Liu (Marvel Comics), Bill Nichols (Comics Mentor) and the Louisville Cartoonist Society. Derby City Comic Con is the first all comics-centered event in Louisville in over 20 years. There will be more than 100 local, regional and national creators and over 28 vendors. There are activities for kids including a couple of classes on how to create your own comic character.
