Green Triangle becomes even greener

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Louisville community's Green Triangle initiative is becoming even greener.

A new Hustler Zeon lawn mower will be used at the Billy Goat Hill Community Garden.  The electric mower can mow over an acre of lawn on a single charge.  9th District Metro Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh said Thursday, "If we are serious about being good stewards of our environment and creating sustainable solutions, this lawn mower is a logical choice to help the community garden."

Ward-Pugh provided 9th District Neighborhood money to buy the mower.  She began the Green Triangle Initiative in 2009.  "No gas to spill, no fumes to pollute and a lot less noise in something as basic as mowing grass," says Ward-Pugh.
