Ford, UAW expected to begin contract negotiations
LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Contract negotiations are expected today between Ford Motor Company and the United Auto Workers.
About five thousand hourly workers in Louisville will be affected. Their contract expires in September.
Ford is expected to face pressure to start returning some of its profits to hourly workers.
The UAW is also expected to ask the company to improve benefits and narrow the pay gap between entry-level workers and veterans.
