FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Office of Employment and Training says jobless rates have fallen in 96 counties between June 2010 and June 2011.

In the same time period, unemployment increased in 19 of Kentucky's 120 counties while five counties reported no change.

The lowest jobless rate in the state was 7.4% in Woodford County. Low jobless rates were also recorded in Larue County at 7.5%, Fayette County at 7.6 and Oldham County at 7.7%.

On the opposite end of the scale, only two counties recorded unemployment rates higher than 16% - Jackson and Magoffin.
