Public library reopens on Sundays

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Free public Library is re-opening on Sundays. Starting this Sunday - six Library locations will be open for business.

The economic downturn forced officials to start closing libraries on Sundays three years ago. Officials say restoring funding for Sunday hours was a priority in the new budget.

Beginning August 14, the Main Library, Bon Air, Iroquois, Okolona, St. Matthews, and Southwest branches will be open on Sundays from 1-5 p.m.
