LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The case of a teen accused of killing his stepbrother is moving forward.

Authorities say 15-year-old Joshua Young beat 14-year-old Trey Zwicker to death May 11th.  Young was arrested after he and his father, Joshua Gouker, were found in Alabama in late June.

The teen was court yesterday.  Since the case is moving through juvenile court, proceedings are closed and officials will not comment on what happened.

Relatives still believe that Young is innocent.  Rodney Gunter, Joshua Young's uncle, says, "Boy, I love you. I don't believe you did this. I don't feel this in my heart. You know I'm there, I'll always be there, regardless."

Joshua Gouker remains in custody in Alabama.  He was arrested there on weapons and kidnapping charges.
