LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say two Louisville men have been arrested after -- they claim -- they pulled weapons and fired shots into the air, "to disperse a large crowd" last month.

The woman who, police say, was wounded in the arm and side might beg to differ.

According to several arrest reports, 19-year-old Jamie Quisenberry and 19-year-old Donte D. Baskette were arrested Wednesday night after both of them admitted to approaching a large fight on July 26, pulling handguns and each firing a single shot into the air.

Police say they claimed to have done it to disperse the fight.

But officers say that's not all that happened. Police say Baskette told them Quisenberry fired multiple rounds that caused "superficial wounds" to a woman's left arm and side. The victim was taken to University Hospital by ambulance, but the graze wound injuries were not serious. The wounds were covered with a bandaid three days later.

The incident took place in the 5500 block of Ailanthus Trail, just north of Rangeland Road, in a yard. There were roughly 15 people present -- including children -- according to police.

Both Baskette and Quisenberry were charged with 11 counts of wanton endangerment. Basket was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Quisenberry was charged with assault 1st.
