LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say an intoxicated man made his feelings known to firefighters who were trying to drive a fire truck through an intersection.

According to an arrest report, 31-year-old Alejandro Rodriguez was arrested at the corner of S. 1st Street and W. Oak St. at approximately 1 a.m. Thursday morning. Police say he jumped in front of the fire truck at the traffic light and "started to dance and display both middle fingers to the firefighters and block them from proceeding through the intersection."

When police stopped him, they say they noticed that he had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes and was unsteady on his feet.

He couldn't tell them his address or how he came to be in the intersection.

"Due to subject's present state and his actions, officer believes that subject is an extreme danger to himself and others," police say.

He was charged with alcohol intoxication.
