LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are looking for a man, but not to arrest him -- they want to thank him.
A Public Works tow truck operator was about to tow a vehicle about 7:45 this morning when the wrecker rolled back on him. It rolled over his leg and pelvis and came to rest on top of him.
That's when a man riding a bicycle came by and jumped into the wrecker, moving it off the driver, who went to University Hospital in critical condition. Police say the unidentified bicyclist saved the driver's life.
The bicyclist left the scene, and LMPD wants to find him. He's described as African-American, with a heavy build, and someone who is often seen in the First and Magnolia area.
