Tracy Heightchew of the Ogle Center and the Owner of New Albanian Brewing Company Roger Baylor drop in to tell us what all will be happening at the 2011 Bier Prost this weekend.
The Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center at Indiana University Southeast will showcase the Hoosier Art of Brewing through a tasting of the finest beers and wines from local breweries and wineries throughout the state of Indiana at the 2001 Bier Prost.
The Bier Prost will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 26, at Horseshoe Casino Indiana. The event is a fundraiser for the Ogle Center and will offer local wines and craft beer from regional breweries paired with international foods. Guests will receive a limited edition tasting mug.
There will also be a silent auction and live auction with items including vacation packages and a guitar signed by Alice Cooper. Musician Dwight Lenox will be on hand to provide live music and dancing.
Tickets are $35 per single ticket or $50 per couple. Tables of eight are available for $200. For tickets, call the Ogle Center Box Office at (812) 941-2525 or Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. All proceeds support the Ogle Center at IU Southeast.
