LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Metro Councilwoman Judy Green could be kicked out of office even before her removal hearing with the council court.
Green's legal team hasn't turned over documents subpoenaed by the lawyers of the five council members asking for her removal. Their lawyer filed a motion saying that's grounds for Green's immediate removal from office.
Green's attorney says the documents are a "which hunt" and haven't been submitted because of her ongoing health issues. Her request to delay the hearing was rejected.
A commission found she violated city ethics rules and misused city grant money.
The chair of the council court says he will rule before the scheduled removal hearing on September 12th.
