LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The 6th annual Kentucky Bluegrass & Burgoo Festival happens this Labor Day weekend at the historic Water Tower on River Road.
Frankfort Ave. Beer Depot Smokehouse and a Lawrenceburg, Kentucky crew will be serving up Kentucky burgoo. The traditional spicy stew consists of pork, chicken, beef, bacon, ham, vegetables, and more.
You'll also get to hear plenty of bluegrass music, according to Jennifer Washle of the festival: "We have about 13 bands all weekend long, great food, a kids area, very affordable."
The festival starts at 5 p.m. Saturday and runs through Monday. Admission is $7 before 6 p.m. and $10 after 6 p.m. Children 10 and under are free, and parking is free at the Water Tower.
