Principal accused of driving while drunk returns to work

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Charlestown High School principal arrested for driving drunk over the weekend is back on the job.  Greater Clark Schools says Keith Hedges met with the superintendent Tuesday, and was allowed to return to work Wednesday.

The office won't make any additional comments because it's a personnel matter.

A Floyd County Sheriff's deputy arrested the 54-year-old principal Sunday night, along State Road 111.

Hedges had an initial blood-alcohol level of .23, almost three times the legal limit. The principal is charged with two misdemeanors -- operating while intoxicated and public intoxication.
