Candyce Clifft was born in Virginia but grew up in Bolivar, Tennessee, a small town near Memphis. She started pretending to be a newscaster when she was in elementary school, so her childhood friends can attest to her decades of experience in journalism. Candyce earned a bachelor's degree in English and journalism from Tennessee Technological University. She has a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
Candyce joined the WDRB News team as a reporter in 1997. She became co-host of WDRB in the Morning in 2003. Candyce was married in 1997; she and her husband have three children.
In her spare time, Candyce enjoys reading, cycling, and keeping up with sports of all kinds.
